  1. First wash toor dal properly. keep it soaked for 30 minutes, then chopped tomatoes and grate ginger.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add soaked toor dal, 4 cup water, 1/2 tsp turmeriic powder, 1 tsp salt. Cook for 3 whistles on medium high flame.
  3. Let pressure cooker cool down, open the lid. Toor dal is ready to fry.
  4. For fry….Heat ghee in a pan, add 1tsp cumin seeds, lets crackle, add grated ginger, tomatoes. Mix well.
  5. Cover with the lid.Cook for 2 minutes on low flame.Open the lid. Mix well.
  6. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well. Saute for one minute on low flame.
  7. Add toor dal, let it's boil, turn the flame low, cook for one minute. Turn off the flame.
  8. For Tadka…Heat a pan, add 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, dried red chillies, hing, 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder. Pour over the toor dal. Yellow Toor Dal is ready for lunch. Enjoy with roti and chawal.!!!
