  1. Take 1/4 cup rice
  2. Make ready 1/2 coconut(coconut milk out of half coconut.)

  1. To prepare ada, take one cup of water in a pan, boil it adding a pinch of salt add rice powder to it mix well, let it cool. Make ada, out of that (small rice balls).
  2. Put it in the fridge previous night to set or you can put it under the fan for 2 hours.
  3. Now grind soaked rice(about 2 hrs)1/4 cup rice adding water to a fine paste. Keep aside.
  4. Extract coconut milk from half of the coconut by grinding it in the mixer adding enough water.
  5. Mix rice batter and coconut milk together. Add enough water about 3 cups, mix well put it on medium flame.
  6. Keep stirring when it thickens add Jaggery powder keep stirring until Jaggery dissolves and you get good aroma of coconut milk and Jaggery, add cardamom powder to it.
  7. In a small pan take ghee, add cashew nuts, fry them until it gets golden colour pour this on top of the payasam. Garnish more with coconut pieces. Your yummy tasty easy ada payasam is ready to taste.
