- Soak chana daal for 3 to 4 hours keep aside
- Add boiling hot water to rice flour and suji.mix well and keep covered for half an hour
- Meanwhile drain the water from chana daal and grind in a mixie jar along with green chillies (5to 6)

- Make small balls of the dough and roll out small round puris out of the balls

- Fold it and press the corners well
- Grease a jali wali plate of the steamer with oil
- Roll out all the puris and make phare
- Steam in a steamer for 20 mins
- Cool. Cut into pieces
- Add tadka of oil mustard seeds jeera curry leaves and hing and slit green chilles
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with tomato ketchup
