  1. In a cook pot heat oil, add hing and mustard seeds to crackle.Put the dals and cook for half a minute and then add onion, chilli, curry leaves and fry till the aroma comes out.
  2. Then add groundnuts and veggies and cook till half done. - - Now add chopped tomato, turmeric powder and salt. Cook till tomatoes are softened.
  3. Add water and let it boil. Mix grated ginger.
  4. Slow down the flame now and gradually add sooji little by little with constant stirring till all water is absorbed.
