Boil lentil till slightly tender, peel and sliced bitter gourd. Heat oil fry, sliced onion till light golden. Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chilli powder, fry well. Fresh Serrano Green Chili/Chilli quick pickle in mustard and lemon juice.
Steps to make Green chilli Ke Karela:
- Wash karela & onion, keep aside.
- Take oil in a wok, heat it, add methi dana & kalaunji dana, let it splutter.
- Add haldi powder, sauté it for a sec.
- Now add karela & onion, add salt, stir fry it for a while.
- Moderate the heat now, cover it with the lid, cook it for a while or till half done.
- Add green chilli & dhania powder, give a stir, again cover it, cook it at moderate flame.
- Cook it till karela becomes tender.
- Now add saunf powder, cover it again, cook it for a while at low flame.
- Increase the flame now, stir fry it for a while.
- Take out in a serving bowl, have it with Paratha.
