  1. Prepare 6 thin sliced london broil or top round (Ask Butcher for Rouladen)
  2. Prepare 2 Packages lean bacon diced
  3. Take 1 jar dill pickels diced
  4. Get 2 medium onions diced
  5. Make ready German Mustard or Mustard you like
  6. Take 6 Garlic cloves minced (optional)
  7. Prepare 2 boxes beef broth
  8. Take 2 cups water
  9. Take 1 beef bullion cube (optional)
  10. Get 1 bay leaf (optional)
  11. Take 4 Tbsp flour/corn starch, Mix with Water (thicken gravy)

Then add beef broth with some water if needed.  Do not cover the Rouladen with the broth.  You can also use water with 1 beef bullion cube & bay leaf.
  3. Cook 1 1/2 hours in a covered pot. Checking and stirring occasionally.  You might need extra water or broth.
  4. To make Gravy: - Remove Rouladen and set aside. - Strain the liquid into a smaller pot. - Mix water & flour or corn starch together in a separate cup. Mix till smooth. - Use to thicken your gravy. Slowly add the mixture to make the gravy. Mixing together till the constancy you want. - The gravy will thicken as it cooks. - Simmer 10 minutes or longer.
  5. You could have it with potato dumplings, Egg Noodles, Mashed Potatoes & a Veggie.
