- Soak tamarind in water for 10-15 mins. Squeeze the pulp. Strain and keep aside.
- Now grind dates, raisins and aam papad together, add little water and make a smooth paste. Strain the pulp to get a smooth paste.
- Now take a pan add oil, then add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle. Once it crackles, add the paste and keep mixing well.
- Add all the dry spices, then add the tamarind paste. If needed add little sugar/jaggery as per your taste.
- Once it gets thick, switch off the flame and allow it to cool. We love thick chutney you can add little more water to get a thinner one.
