  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan or casserole. You can choose oil as per your preference. But i personally like mustard oil for this recipe.

  3. Now, add the chopped onion. Fry it over low flame till brownish in colour. keep stirring at regular intervals.
  4. Once onion is done add the ginger-garlic paste and fry it for 2 - 3 minutes or till the raw smell drift away.
  5. Add the tomato paste, red chilli powder, turmeric and stir to combine. Fry the masala over low heat in regular intervals.
  6. Now, add the roasted soya chaap pieces. Stir to cook them covered over low flame for approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Open the lid, add approximately water, green chilli, garam masala and chopped coriander.
  8. Mix and allow the gravy to boil gently for next 10 minutes over low flame.
  9. Serve Soya Chaap with chapati, rice or lachha paratha.
