- Take 1/2 cup sprouts
- Prepare 1 tsp Turmeric powder

Kolhapuri Misal is a dish that can be attributed to having attained a cult following in the Kolhapuri cuisine and has planted this regional cuisine firmly on the world map. A spicy curry of moth beans served with onions, farsan and relished with pav (soft bread roll)-this dish is a popular breakfast dish served in restaurants serving.
Instructions to make Kolhapuri Bread Misal:
- In a cooker take sprouts add turmeric powder and pinch of salt. Add 1.5 cup of water. Cook it for 2 whistles
- Heat pan dry roast grated dry coconut and cinnamon stick.
- Transfer roasted ingredients to mixi jar.
- In a same pan add 2 spoons of oil add 3/4th cup of finely chopped onion, garlic, ginger fry it until colour turns to golden brown.
- As soon as colour starts changing add tomato and cook it until Tomato becomes soft
- Once above mixture is ready let it cool down to room temperature and add it to mixi jar along with roasted ingredients make fine paste.
- Again heat a pan add 5-6 spoons of oil. Add grinded paste cook it until the oil separates from mixture.
- Now add Dhaniya powder, garam masala powder, ghoda masala/kitchen king masala, red chilli powder mix it well. Wait until oil separates from mixture.
- Now add cooked sprouts along with the water add as much as water and mix it well.
- Add salt to taste. Now let it cook in low flame until you will get the thari layer from misal.
- In bowl take add cooked misal masala (slowly take sprouts) then add 1/4th cup of mixture (mix khara) on top pour thari (slowly take spicy part of misal which is on top in a pan) now add onions, coriander leaves and lemon. Have it with bread😋😋
