- Take 100 gm Raw rice
- Prepare 50 gm Yellow moong dal

Steps to make Sarkarai Pongal:
- Wash rice and dal cook it in a pressure cooker.Add 600 gm water. Cook upto 5 whistle.
- Break jaggery and add little water until it immerse.cook it till no lumps filter and cool it.
- When rice is ready add jaggery water to it. Wait till it tightens add cardamom powder and cashew and raisins
