- Get 1 cup rice
- Make ready 1 spoon pure ghee

This combination of rajma and saffron rice is a great favourite in our household. The Kashmiri saffron lends such an exotic touch to the rice that it has to be experienced to be believed! Steps to make Rajma with steamed rice:
- First, wash the rajma twice in water. Soak it in water overnight or soak in warm water for 3-4 hours.

- Cook it and take 5-6 whistles, then switch off the gas. Once the cooker is cool open the lid Rajma become soft and keep it aside.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, clove, black peppercorns, black cardamoms, cumin seeds, ginger and green chillies paste and saute for a few minutes.
- Add Coriander powder, red chilli powder, tomato puree and salt to taste, then mix it well and cook it for about 5-6 minutes or till the oil starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- Add boiled Rajma and 1 cup water (or water as per need) and mix it well, then cook for about 7-8 minutes on medium to low flame.
- Add garam masala powder and cook for about two 2 minutes on high flame. Place the Rajma in a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves. Rajma |No onion No garlic| is ready to serve.
- For Steamed Rice -
- Wash rice twice in running water. In a pressure cooker add washed rice, salt, pure ghee with 1 cup of water and mix it well.
- Cook it and take 1 whistle. Then switch off the gas and keep it aside for cooling the pressure cooker.
- Once the cooker is cool open the lid. Steamed Rice is ready to eat. Serve it with hot Rajma | No onion No garlic|
