  5. heat a non stick pan with a table spoon of butter. add the onions and cook till softend. add the mince and cook till brown. whilst the meat is cooking add the bacon a dash of salt, black pepper, all purpose seasoning and mixed herbs.
  6. take the roasting dish with the potatoes out the oven after 10-15mins. once the mince is cooked add half on top of the potatoes.
  7. on top of the mince add half the courgettes. and add the sliced red onion.
  8. add the rest of the mince on top of the red onion.
  9. add the courgettes and the rest of the sliced potatoes.
  10. place the dish in the oven for 30 mins
  11. take the dish out the oven and add the grated cheese on top
  12. cook the dish for a further 20mins
  13. atfer 20 mins take it out the oven and rest for five mins beforr serving

This layered dish is a perfect filling dinner. If you prefer a more substantial version of the dish, you can double the filling ingredients so that the bake turns out thicker. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onion, stirring until beef crumbles and is no longer pink; drain.
