Mutton pieces cooked and roasted with pepper and spices. Add it along with turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and fennel powder.
Steps to make Pepper mutton masala:
- 1.Wash the mutton and keep it aside.
- 2.In a pressure cooker,pour oil and add cloves,cinnamon, and let it splutter.
- 3.Then add red chillies and garlic and saute for sometime.
- 4.Now add onion and fry them for 2-3 minutes.
- 5.Add the mutton to it and mix it well.
- 6.Add turmeric powder,little salt and saute well.
- 7.Add half a cup of water to it and pressure cook until the mutton is cooked well.
- 8.After the pressure is released from it.Open the cooker.
- 9.Keep the cooker in high flame as all the excess water in it has to get reduced.
- 10.When the water is half reduced,add pepper jeera powder and check for salt.
- 11.Now let it cook until it reaches a thick gravy consistency.
- 12.Finally add coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati,hot rice,rasam rice,sambar rice.
- Note: - 1.If you are using liver,cook for less time than mutton. - 2.Add normal pepper powder for extra spiciness if needed.
