This Dal Fry recipe is one of my absolute favorites. It's packed with flavor, really easy to make and tastes. Green Dal Fry, tempting variation of regular Dal Fry!! Dal fry is a warm and filling dish full of proteins, nutrients and fibre.

Instructions to make Green Dal Fry:
  1. Green paste: Combine all the ingredients and grind in a mixer toa paste a littel water if required.
  2. Wash and soak the dal in enough water for 1-hours.drain well.
  3. Combine soaked dals, water, salt, mix well and pressure cook for 4-whistles.
  4. Heat ghee in a kadai, add cumin seeds, hing, garlic, adrakh, shukhi red chilli, saute for 1-minite, add green paste, saute for 2-3minites.
  5. Add cooked dal, add 1/2-cup water and salt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes, add Coriander leaves. Mix well.
  6. Take a small kadai add ghee, cumin seeds, add red chilli powder. Mix well., add dal.
  7. Serve hot with rice.

A spoon of desi ghee (clarified Add finely chopped Ginger, Garlic and Green Chilli Paste and fry till it is roasted. This DAL FRY recipe is usually done using toor dal.
