- Wash and soak chana into warm water for 6-8 hours. Then cook in pressure cooker with enough water. Then strain water from it. In a mixing bowl take boiled Kabuli chana. Slightly mash them with masher. Add boiled and mashed potatoes, chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, black pepper powder, crushed green chillies and garlic. Combine well.
- Add hung curd and mix well. Chana masala mixture is ready.
- Take two bread slices. Apply chutney on both slices. Spread prepared mixture on one slice and cover with other slice. Prepare all sandwiches like this. Grill both sides on grill pan by applying ghee or butter on both sides till golden brown and crisp. Tasty and healthy Chana masala sandwich is ready to serve.
I had some leftover chana masala on hand, so i decided to make a sandwich using it and it was delicious. I cooked the chana masala till the excess water dries and topped it over bread slices along.
