The ingredients needed to make Chicken Momos or dumplings:

  2. Get 1 cup maida/All-purpose flour
  3. Make ready as needed Water

  6. Prepare 1 cup mashed chicken
  7. Prepare 1/3 cup cabbage chopped
  8. Take 1/2 cup onion chopped
  9. Take 1/4 cup capsicum chopped
  10. Take 10 garlic cloves
  11. Get 1 inch ginger
  12. Get 1 green chilli
  13. Get 1 tsp soya sauce
  14. Get 1 tsp black pepper powder
  15. Prepare 1 tbsp schezwan sauce
  16. Make ready 1 tbsp oil
  17. Take to taste Salt
  18. Get Chutney
  19. Prepare 5 dried red chilli
  20. Take 1 tomato
  21. Make ready 4 garlic clove
  22. Get to taste Salt
  23. Prepare Garlic sauce
  24. Take 1 egg white
  25. Get 2 garlic cloves
  26. Take 1/2 cup Oil
  27. Take to taste Salt

Making Momos(Dumplings): Place a tablespoon of the prepared filling in the center of each rolled out circle. Do not over stuff as it will be difficult to form a neat pouch shape. Momo (dumplings) is one of Nepal's most popular dishes which can be eaten as an entree or as mains. Chicken Momos Recipe is a delicious and simple momos recipe filled with juicy minced chicken.

Instructions to make Chicken Momos or dumplings:
  1. For dough, take the maida and add salt to taste. Add water bit by bit and simultaneously knead the dough. After reaching little sticky consistency, stop adding water and start kneading the dough. Make a ball and keep aside for 30 minutes
  2. In hot pan, add the chopped onions, ginger galic paste, green chilli and saute until golden brown.
  3. Add the cabbage, soya sauce, szechwan sauce, pepper powder and salt to taste. Saute well for 2 minutes and switch it off.
  4. Add these things to mashed chicken along with salt to taste and mix well.
  5. Now make small round roti from the dough, start filling it with the filling and close it as in the pic. S
  6. After completing, keep the raw momos in steam for 10 minutes in high flame
  7. For chutney, boil the red chilli and tomato in water. Put those in mixer along with the garlic. Grind it. Add salt to taste. If needed, add some Szechwan sauce
  8. For garlic sauce, grind garlic clove. To this add the egg white and again grind. Add salt to taste. Then add 1tsp oil and grind. Continue the last step of adding oil and grinding again and again untill the sauce reaches desired thickness.
  9. Momos is ready

A street food special found mostly in Darjeeling or Sikkim. The fillings for these momos are quite simple and light. Serve this momos along with chilli garlic sauce. Chinese chicken dumplings with ground chicken and vegetables filling. Homemade dumplings are healthy and easy to make and perfect as a light meal or appetizer.
